Local representatives of professional experience working with our program match the exchange student with an ideal host family in China to ensure the student’s well being. In settling into a host family in China, several considerations are meticulously carried out: 1) Moral & ethical standard; religious affiliation/practice; 2) Health history including infectious disease and substance abuse by any family member; 3) Living standard including home space, room availability, and location with regard to the school; 4) Ability to support the exchange student culturally, academically, and lovingly; 5) Experience in parenting children including adolescent teenagers; 6) Complementary personalities and living habits between the exchange student and host family.
